I sent an email and the response seems positive. She's making more effort to talk to me and seems to see me as more approachable. This is the type of response I was hoping for. She invited me along with a group of colleagues to go bowling, although this was noisy and not that great an experience for...

This is why we might call them Neurotypical or Allistic. This is their handicap, even though they would otherwise be considered "normal". One way to illustrate this is life experiences. For me my Aspergers meant I was taken to a speech therapist when I was 4 years old. Though at the time Aspergers w...

It's even worse when they block you. They still appear as a friend, but if I remember correctly FB says they're no longer registered.

Neither is dating a co-worker who is 10 years your junior, at least not in your 30s. Yep definitely worked that one out. I hate the illogical instinctive feelings that just seem to happen. But it's certainly not a case of being attracted to younger women alone, there have been placement students wh...

I tend to go backwards when I feel depressed, then I feel more depressed because I have gone backwards.

I would say they're one and the same really, all on a spectrum of ability. This is certainly the view of the DSM-5. I guess what matters most is an explanation for a difference. A bit of socially unacceptable Facebook snooping suggests that she likes the TV show Big Bang Theory. I'm not quite sure w...

Lol. I hate the way cats stare. If I am stressed/tired I have more difficulty. I used to have difficulty with it overall, but learned it as part of my repertoire to the extent it can be kind of automated. I also used to be averse to people hugging me, particularly those I knew little. But I managed ...

I'd try to avoid having anyone who would do as such without good reason, as a "friend" on Facebook. Same with anyone who also did silly things like trying to tag me as a picture of something nasty. Worse things happen on FB.

I was indifferent to making friends until recently. Though I think the cause was my breakup 6 months ago from my partner of 7 years. Having someone at home who knew me and my quirks more than anyone else, who I knew how to interact with, meant I felt I didn't need other friendships. I 'placed all my...

Death is one of the only certain things going to happen to someone who lives, eventually. I have to say I think I would only feel any grief if it was someone close to me such as family or a partner. Death is such a natural feature of life that I don't have much of a negative view of it. I don't see ...

Background. Been working at current place for just over a year. Separated from ex girlfriend about 4 months ago. I have no friends and not sure how to make any. The social isolation bothers me. There is a woman who works in the same room within my office. I find her immensely attractive, an illogica...

Have to say that I've never been up a ladder that high. It would make me a bit uneasy if it was one of those ^ shaped ladders that can wobble a bit as you climb them. My approach would be to take it all step by step logically. Starting with setting up the ladder, making sure it was stable and suitab...

One thing that seems to be sought after the world over is Statisticians. They're used in official Government statistics, medicine, and probably a few other things not coming to mind right now. Some with degrees in Mathematics become Statisticians. I studied Psychology (often considered a somewhat us...

Yeah, sometimes it can. I guess the key thing is whether you have an interest in statistics. As University is largely self-directed learning, you pretty much make your own path. I guess also, some Universities might not focus much on stats, particularly if their course is not British Psychological ...
