Men are subjects in traditional porn; they are active, they 'do something' to the women, who are passive objects which have something done to them. That is literal objectification. That's not really true. Women do stuff to men all the time in porn. You can even see this in the cliche "she does it a... |

Why would that matter? |

Is wasteful in the sense that we introduce a new symbol, but we can't use any combination of the symbols to represent an unique number. What is being wasted? You might as well say base 10 is wasteful because it isn't base 11. Adding a bunch of new symbols to represent negatives avoids the "problem"... |

But the system efficiency is ruined when we have decimals, or negative numbers. With these we have 2 extra symbols, the "." and the "-". The "-" can only be placed once, and only on one position. Meanwhile the "." can be on any place, but can be present only once. That's wasteful. That isn't really... |

Shocker films are just that- shocker films. Back away from fiction and bring some reality in here. Cool. Would you dare to say that in front of an cinema audience after seeing "Schindlers list". "Schindler's list" is not evidence any more than "Requiem for a dream". They are movies. If I wanted to ... |

I just can't see any pleasurable outcome from puking, neurologically speaking. The mind is where pleasure/displeasure exists. Physically, there are nerve signals that indicate hot/cold/soft/sharp/pressure/etc., but individual nerve signals aren't pleasure or displeasure, that's constructed in the m... |

I've debated my point perfectly well - you're the one resorting to insults and telling me to leave - I'd hardly call that a mature debating style. You have not debated your point well. What you've done is say repeatedly that porn is bad (as if saying so would make it so); question the morality, int... |

1998? No. It's common knowledge that Linux does not "just work" out of the box even today. It only works perfectly on laptops which ship with it, because the manufacturer manages to find all the appropriate drivers and tweaks and make sure it's actually workable for that fixed configuration. Again,... |

Especially since most people who regularly view that crap completely deny the fact that they watch it in the first place IRL, but then casually defend/debate the issue with their alternate internet-personality. Why is that a problem? The internet allows anonymity, which means that people are... |

I barely ever see women in my porn, so I have no idea where 'violence against women' comes about, As someone who sees quite a lot of women in my porn, I think I know what they're talking about. You don't have to look terribly hard to find something described as "painful anal" as if that were a good... |

Linux is more stable than Windows? On what planet? 8O This one. Sure, it's more stable for heavy-duty server room work, where it is most used. However Windows actually has drivers that consistently work as expected, while in Linux having everything "just work" is sort of a freak accident. I've run ... |

I chose "debate" as opposed to "pointless debate" and "intelligent debate". Not "pointless" because what's the point of that? Not "intelligent" because there are too few people around here that really think about the things they argue about (although they do exist). I have to disagree with the idea ... |

I'm not saying there aren't problems with schools and schooling, but it is better than just not educating people. This. As the sheer volume of data increases, at some point we're going to have to go back to teaching people HOW to think and how to pick out the good information from the bad, rather t... |

But someone who takes an anti-gun position cannot benefit from it in the way that someone who takes a pro-gun position often does. Why not? But what motivation do they have for being anti-gun in the first place? Nobody in their right mind would think "for my career I'm going to make it look like Me... |

If you think I'm hold George W. Bush up as a role model, then you really aren't grasping what I meant. I can only respond to your words, not your thoughts. And why do you have a problem with that it's Congressional Republicans who have been blocking the closure of Guantanamo? "We're going to lead b... |
