I've tried looking for that character on Facebook so I could give her a piece of my mind.

I was actually mistaken. I saw it on youtube. I noticed that when I got a notification that someone gave me a thumbs up on my comment to give her a medal. I will see if I can find it for you.

How do you know the mum is NT? I think it doesn't matter. I agree with Cockney Rebel, the act of posting memes means whether NT or ND the parent here isn't thinking about how their child feels. I could accuse my own parents of this to me and my 18 year old daughter often uses this argument when she...

( response to mountain goat’s post)Yes, meltdowns and tantrums are completely different. You can’t use the words interchangeably. Tantrums are the manipulative actions of spoiled people trying to get what they want. There must be an objective and there must be an audience. Once the person gets what ...

It depends on what the diagnostician decides to do. Some are much more thorough and much more knowledgeable than others so many people do end up getting misdiagnosed False positive or negative? I have heard of many people getting diagnosed as bipolar or of having a personality or mood disorder or e...

I don't agree with the mother did but perhaps she thought if it worked for her child she might think it could help other NT parents? But then again.... There are parents who are desperate to try something different but unsure of themselves (I know this feeling) and seek confirmation or validation o...

I'd go for level 2.
Incontinence is not an Autism functioning level determining factor

Often the assumption is that these children will never mature be embarrassed by them, and have peers that make fun of them over these videos.
Parents don’t realize that those assumptions can really backfire. And even if, in some cases, they might be true, it’s just so rude and disrespectful.

I concur. My own mom doesn't need to post memes or talk about autism -- but she takes too many photos of me and put them online despite expressing to NOT do it. Too many times . I cannot count on her over my own more personal matters because of that -- to a point that I'd willfully exclude her in e...

Also, the fact that you have a driver’s license means you are able to drive. If your DMV does not require a doctor to say you are able to drive as an Autistic person, and you have a valid current license, i don’t understand why the insurance would contest it.
