I guess because it says "Games" in the sub-forum title. I agree its kind of odd to pair them up with Sports and Fitness though. Might make more sense to put it in the Entertainment section. Or have a sub-forum dedicated just to gaming (including computer games, video-games, and table-top gaming). Th...

Here's mine:

I mostly just use it for logging my listening habits, for my own amusement. I haven't really tried to use all the features or the community aspects yet. Some of the recommendation things are useful though.

I didn't start the thread but that seems okay to me - I could try to answer your questions.

Probably about 90% of the time I listen using headphones - for the same reasons you mention Pugly. I like to hear all the details and be able to listen to it as loud as I want (without damaging my ears). The times I don't use headphones is usually just in the car.

I'm not a guitar expert but it should be fairly easy to buy a guitar and amp online. There's Guitar Center which is like an online superstore which has a ton of guitar gear. They also have actual stores you can go to (in the US at least) - and I recommend that more than buying online. Its better to ...

Is Black Sabbath considered metal. Absolutely... Many metal enthusiasts consider Sabbath to be the first true metal band and I agree. They laid the groundwork from which metal as we know it developed - the heaviness, the riffing style, the dark lyrical themes, etc. More so than any other band in th...

Yeah they tend to annoy me too (hipsters, music snobs, elitists...). And I tend to like a lot of obscure / underground music so I've encountered them a lot. It just strikes me as very narrow-minded. They are missing out on a ton of music by being stuck in their little worlds. The whole concept of a ...

It really reminds me of a medieval melody. Or traditional european folk perhaps.

I love music in this style.

New thought- I just read in the latest PC Gamer about how Oblivion does "level scaling". Like the game always adjusts itself to your level. Apparently even really "bad" sections of the game will be populated with enemies you can handle, even early on. And conversly, if you revist areas with whimpy ...

I think it is mainly the misconception which is bred by the media / movies / TV / games where rats are always portrayed as nasty disease-ridden vermin. And most people just don't know the difference between wild rats and domesticated rats. They are vermin. People are vermin. Look what we're doing to...
