I'm sure you know to vote No 1 Henry Reilly on May 22nd. ;) What exactly is your interest in Northern Ireland? Historically UKIP did not bother with Northern Ireland or getting involved with its twisted and shadowy politics. Time will tell whether they become serious players but which sections of s...

I'm not familiar with American TV channels apart from a few shown on satellite in Britain like Discovery and National Geographic. Much of the material on TV ARK is before my time or I never saw it when it was being broadcast.

There was lots of diversity in styles that was all killed off by the bland homogeneity of ITV since the Carlton and Granada takeovers of the late 1990s. The modern ITV graphics and jingles are not as bold or as brassy as many of those from the old companies. The Thames jingle with the reflection of ...

Before the late 1990s different regions of Britain had their own separate ITV companies with different idents, graphics, startups, musical jingles, and local news. They are now archived on the TV ARK website under ITV Regional Television. http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/itv/index.html Which ITV company do...

I would be very careful at playing the numbers game because China has a much larger population than the US so there is a strong potential for China to trump the US when it comes to raw figures. The same applies when comparing the US to a smaller European nation. Nobody ever seems to ask the question...

Capitalism is the child of the Protestant reformation. Marxism is the child of capitalism. Without Luther and Calvin neither would have existed.

Does all this reality TV bring in massive audiences or is it only media bosses and advertisers who think so?

EU competition has nothing to do with the left or with unions. If the large trade unions were seriously concerned with EU competition laws which handcuff and straitjacket the British government when it comes to setting economic policies in the interests of Britain and its people (including investin...

The trade unions couldn't prevent the demise of MG Rover, and even worse, like to keep quiet about the fact that the British government wanted to bail out the company but was prevented from doing so under EU competition laws. Banks are exempt from them. Jobs are like any other resource. There's only...

its pretty naive to assume there isnt a single cintilla of BNP support in poor London areas, I would imagine quite the contrary, that indeed the strongest and most visceral support comes from the white indigenous suburban poor that regularly encounter the immigrants whose prescence the BNP tries to...

The same thing has happened in Britain. I can remember getting satellite TV in the late 1990s because both I and my mother were dismayed at the lack of quality documentaries and factual programs on the 4 terrestrial channels and how there were channels full of them on satellite. The History and Disc...

So the only anti-UKIP sentiment is to be found on Univerity campuses, or in weatlhy areas? Anti-UKIP sentiment is far and wide so that critics of UKIP do not necessarily agree with each other on many issues. I am anti-EU but I'm no fan of UKIP. They are a rich man's club with many deficiencies run ...

I doubt it was the locals. Experience of living in England tells me this. The poster in question is just a few miles away from Hampstead, Islington, and several universities. When I see UKIP posters being defaced in downtrodden areas of the valleys of South Wales or the former coal fields of South Y...

What specific chapters, passages, sections etc. in these works are you unimpressed with, and why? You will receive a more detailed answer if you discuss the contents of the books with the historians rather than myself. I am interested in reading The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran but I have read...

I'm inclined to say that the vandalism has been done by a tiny handful of Marxists or UAF types. They are the only people who stoop so low as to carry out such acts. What they don't realise is that it only serves to give more publicity to UKIP.

And what has prompted you to reach such a conclusion about these works? What specific chapters, passages, sections etc. in these works are you unimpressed with, and why? The term coffee table book means a book that might make interesting casual reading but should not be regarded as a trustworthy so...
