I think the worst part is the hopelessness you feel when you can't connect emotionally and it feels that you never will.

This. I have my v-card at 24 and couldn't care less... the issue is that there is no hope of ever being truly able to connect to someone (hence the Forever Alone avatar).

Stick with Plenty of Fish or OKCupid. Or none. How will I get a girlfriend then? I don't know any woamn in that age group in real life, and certainly not anyone that would actually want to be with me... online is my only hope. Go outside. Find a club for something you like in the area. If you just ...

it can definitely work to sign up for eHarmony. but if you hav money to burn you may be better off getting a few therapy sessions to learn to build up some confidence. that will give you results that you can use online AND in real life. I've been going to therapy for a couple years now. It's hard f...

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience on it... does the money given confer any benefit in terms of the matches (or the likelihood that any matches you get will actually respond), or should I not invest money into it?

having a different faith does not necessarily mean drama. it's possible to respect each other. Thats why I said i had no problems with an agnostic. (only a militant athiest that would try to convert me out of religion...) I only need a few things in common, and it doesn't necessarily have to be my ...

I'm with hyperlexian and Fnord on this one. You're never going to see eye to eye on all subjects with another person. Unless your partner is extremely orthodox and lives by a strict religious code that affects all areas of life, I don't see why religious differences should be more of a divider than...

Re: Toad of Steel, if you still want to meet this woman in person then go for it. Unless she outrightly refuses the offer and asks you to leave her alone, then you're entitled to keep pursuing, you haven't done anything wrong so far. Just don't let her give you the run around, if she bails on you a...

I have this issue to a point, but I don't care about it really. I figure God will just take care of it in time, my having a wife and all. I don't get why people like....care so much, about finding "someone." My problem I guess is my standards are very much too specific, and I shut myself out of a l...

The more you have in common with someone the easier it is to keep a conversion going and keep it interesting to both involved. This is why its bad to just try and relate to someone on one subject or "one aspect" your self. The problem is it's hard to find a girl that has even one thing in common wi...

Christianity, is not what is keeping you from finding someone nor is the fact that you play video games It's true people can be nit picky about those things but if they are then they're not the people you want to date I will say this, that your idea of wanting to share "just one aspect of my life" ...

I think that your problem is that you don't have a healthy relationship between beliefs and identity. Your beliefs are not your identity. Beliefs are subject to revision. What you're saying is that you don't want to be around someone who disagrees with you, in case they convince you that your belie...
