To the OP: did you two ever converse through written letters? I’ve found that some autistic (not sure of its peers) people tend to write with their “real” voice, rather than the ”standbys” (or simple retraction) that help to alleviate anxiety in social situations. If yes, and he was a completely dif...

I’m the clumsy giant who’s afraid of holding another for the fear of unknowingly squishing said other…. Retrospectively, I now see the pain I’ve caused in the past; so now, I refrain from grabbing others…even though I still cause harm to others when I regress into the monotonous madman as soon as an...

Nope. And I forget nothing.... I see it as an escalation from nothing to the [possible] beginning of an interpersonal relationship; relationships are the most painful thing to me. I’d rather burn myself; it hurts a lot less and heals quicker. Acknowledging a name is acknowledging the person. (I'm fi...

The Way of the Gun: it’s a modern day western. I can't stop watching it.... ‘It’s not what you say anymore, it’s all in how you say it.’ ‘A plan is just a list of things that don’t happen.’ Misquoted obviously. O yeah, for an accuracy stickler like me, the last gunfight is pretty accurate – apart fr...

I don’t understand the traditional concept of “like” and “dislike” that has been explained to me by those who appear to understand this incomputable axiom…. Though, I dislike the pain people cause me when I stand before them, their seamless ease in which they can communicate to me (which is magic to...

Yeah, I hear you….

In retrospect: it’s the only place I’ve been that I felt like I belonged to.

I don’t understand anyone: you must have a basic understanding of the objects under scrutiny to compare and contrast their positives and negatives. BTW, I’m not an “aspie”: I’m Daniel, named by Karon; scared of everything but death, said to have many “mental illnesses” that which mean nothing to me ...

Yeah…whilst I’m not afraid of being judged, I’m unable to…uh, talk? I have nothing to say, and searching within the self-induced maze for the right words creates incomprehensible blabber, even if I do have something to say (which is quite rare). The anxiety is unbearable, and as I confuse people wit...
