If the movie is related to such things as geology/science/documentaries about the natural sciences, then I don't have problems following those kinds of movies. Romance and social-situation types of movies, on the other hand, get me totally lost and confused. Maybe that's the reason I don't go out to... |

The background environment is making me a little dizzy! Truly epic landscape. This may seem like a silly question, but do you also enjoy rock-hounding? I used to enjoy going to the Mojave collecting obsidian. There are enormous areas where it seems like you're standing on one solid gigantic volcani... |

PhilolovesJ, I am currently a fourth year geology undergrad (out of five). There is some math involved in geology, but it is more conceptual mathematics than active mathematics. One important question you have to answer is do you like the outdoors? I ask this because the standard capstone course in ... |

Here is a picture of me on the top of Cathedral Mtn. in Denali Nat'l Park, Alaska last summer during geology Field Camp. Note the all-important rock hammer I am holding -- a must for any hard-rock geologic field investigation one gets themself into!! http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd317/CGKings3... |

Thus far it has been a warmish winter with a period a couple of weeks ago actually warming up to above zero degrees Celsius.
I am pleading for a couple of good solid cold spells this winter -- bring on -30 degree days!
