Now that I hear it mentioned...yes... I think it could be my own mentality though. I don't alter myself to try and conform to whatever the local zeitgeist demands. I'm also less tolerant of narrow mindedness. When I was younger if people called me weird I'd try and be a bit more self contained. Now ...

Go for it! Hugging is obviously appropriate in your social group, so feel free to do it. :)

I had no real friends until I joined the heavy metal subculture, and met people who were a lot like me. I had a few but they weren't really friendships....I just struggled like mad to appear halfway normal and conform. At school I'd go one of 2 ways with people: either not think of anything to say, ...

Neurotypicals are forgetful people that have wildly fluctuating whims. They'll just suddenly decide that they don't want to see someone one day, or aren't sure they want to have the potential to see a person every day. They don't like commitment as much as we do, and their memories are alarmingly p...

Ignore them if at all possible, if they get in your face just act calmly contemptuous.

Most teenage girls are absolute s**ts, unless they're from one of the subcultures, who tend to have different attitudes.

Just the usual AS stuff...guys expecting me to be able to read them.. Also, misunderstanding them and getting things wrong...again, usual AS stuff. To cut a long story short, I once thought someone was pissed off at me and he wasn't, and I viciously had a go at him, as I was hurt and didn't feel I'd...

I sometimes have them so extreme I vomit and nearly pass out. One time I didn't have any painkillers that worked properly, and I was reduced to sitting in the front seat of my mum's car curled up in a fetal position, spitting obscenities and growling like an animal from the sheer height of the pain....

Being female stinks! We get the bum end of the deal. I'm glad I'm not the only person to want to cut them off completley, haha. I had this exact feeling as a young adolescent. I HATED them. I don't want to cut them off anymore but I sometimes feel like just a pair of boobs, cos they're so big. Othe...

I am crying a river as I type this, I want a hysterectomy, but have to wait until I'm 30, which is no way I will do. Why wait so long? You should literally be allowed to in your early twenties. Heck, I'm 19 and I'm allowed to. BTW, you wouldn't like my opinion on PMS besides that I believe it's fak...

I'm an 18 year old girl from the south of Ireland... I have never actually gotten a diagnosis, but I have always had what was obviously a form of ASD, and according to an online test my "autism quotient" is 39...a little higher than the usual level of someone with Asperger's or high functioning auti...
