| There does seem to be a spectrum of preference for nice or blunt. I guess it's based on upbringing. Typically those from a blunt background find niceness too sickly-sweet, and those from nice backgrounds find bluntness too oppressive. I think most WP users don't have a problem with "blunt"... |

| I don't think the woman's behavior was hypocritical. Rude and jerkish (is that a word?...It is now.), but not hypocritical. | No, she never told me I was stupid, she was (seemed) nice, and told me nicely (the way a person who actually cares about your well being would do) that I should not leave my purse opened and unattended, that someone might steal. See the thing is the woman didn't tell me she thought it was stupid, nor that she even thought that leaving my purse opened and unattended was stupid, she was nice to me and advised me nicely not to leave my purse opened... |
