I only listened to a bit of it, because I wanted just one smooth single looped noise like the other one. (What can I say, I crave sameness and repetition.) That one jumps around to different notes.

If anyone else has comfort, support, or advice, I'd appreciate it. My only communication is typing or one or two words if someone catches me outside my room. (live in house of university students). I haven't been able to go to choir, or the class I'm auditing. I'm terrified this is permanent and I w...

Talk to your psychiatrist? Maybe he/she can change or tweak your medication to take care of these hallucinations. I have bipolar and experienced hallucinations for the first few months of my first year of university. But my psychiatrist helped me get a hold on it again and a combination of changing ...

I'm trying to find more low, bass, monotonous ambient tracks like the one I posted in the first post but I haven't yet. That track seems to be my magic track, so I want to see if there are others. Regular white noise is too high pitched and makes me want to rip my hair out. Even brown noise has that...

thank you very much, soulofthegypsy. Yes, I'm on testosterone. On April 4th it will be 2 years. Maybe you're right, maybe a hormone fluctuation could be causing this.

I don't know what it is about this noise, but I've been having problems focusing or concentrating for more than 5 minutes for a long time. Playing this noise over my headphones at my computer, I was able to read for more than 30 minutes straight. I wonder if everyone has their own particular "noise."

Thanks. I feel like I'm getting more autistic and that's scaring me because if I don't get myself together I may need to take some more time off school. I'm bipolar as well as Autistic and they put me on Celexa once and it aggravated the bipolar. I've tried Zoloft for anxiety as well, but the side e...

The LGBT club at my school saved me. I'm transgender, and was presenting as a male for the first time and the Coordinator of the centre (My school has a whole room/social space for our Community Centre) kind of took me under her wing and helped introduce me with my new male name. And the Centre just...

My autism symptoms have been getting worse and I can feel myself slipping backward and backward. I was a relatively happy person who had no problem going to his few classes as well as choir weekly. The one thing everyone knew about me was how much I loved music. Now, I tried to drop out of choir (th...

Thank you. :) If I can force myself out of the house next month I might read this at a poetry event. I missed the one this month because I've been unable to leave the house lately for anything other than quick grocery shops or psychiatrist appointments.

I'm an FtM who has been on testosterone shots for almost 2 years, and my symptoms changed around a bit. Gains in some areas, losses in others. The doctor who saw me after a year on testosterone rated me as severe Aspergers, akin to HFA. I feel like as time is going by my symptoms are becoming more p...

Nothing wrong with having different preferences. :)

Music actually agitates me when I'm in a sensory or social overload. That's why I love this. I need some aural input to interrupt the meltdown loop in my brain, but music agitates it - and this works like magic.

I love fanfiction but keep it a secret too. I used to write back in 2003-2005. I wrote some fics based on musicals, and few based on the TV show Andromeda.

I went to a specialist, and from the copy of the diagnostic report, the diagnosis was mostly because of how I said I was in childhood and stories from my parents and others. And everyone who knows me thinks I'm incredibly high functioning (one person has said repeatedly, most high functioning person...

I just can't get enough of the sound. It's like being in a weighted blanket.

Somberlain, wow, you have sensitive ears! I can't hear the loop stop/starting. (But things like someone whistling cause me pain and I can hear conversations in another room.)
