I made a solar funnel recently our of cardboard and aluminum foil. It focuses sunlight onto a cooking vessel and heats it up. Yesterday, I tried it out with a camp fire type coffee maker in 95 degree, sunny weather. The brew came out surprisingly good, even though it didn't reach boiling point. I imagine I can get better results next time if I put it in an oven bag to insulate it like the website suggests. Its really fun, and I hope to build better solar cookers in the future.
