As i kid i loved the cartoon "Mysterious Cities of Gold"
There was the "Golden Condor" an aircraft powered by Sun, as i grow up I become wondering does it can become real. I Heard that some company plan to build such aircraft, but it plan to make it unnamed.

An electrically powered plane is impractical. The power cord won't reach.

For the golden condor itself, it's not very realistic to expect it to fly on solar power alone. (More so, it's made of GOLD!! !)

Exactly, the plane made of gold, it would be very expensive and very heavy, which would be unable to fly.

In addition, they flew toward the ocean, I wonder what happened with the Golden Condor, when night fell :-)

There is already one at least I know who fly. It was solar one, made by swiss and who can fly days and nigth. I saw it on TV5 few years ago, if I remember well. That was a very wide air plane. They wanted to demonstrate that can be achieved. If I can find a link I will post it here.
