What are your picks?
My picks are:
5. Haruhi Suzumiya
4. Eureka Seven
3. One Piece
2. Detective Conan/Case Closed
1. Gurren Lagann
I've gotten my friends into Gurren Lagann and I've been getting very postive feedback from them!

One Piece and Haruhi aren't underrated...

How about Hunter X Hunter, Fairy Tail, and Yu Yu Hakusho?

This thread's about underrated shows.

I'd say Last Exile, for its steampunk aesthetic and excellent art style, and its celtic-influenced musical score.

Id say checkout Guin Saga. So far loving it, especially the musical peices from it. What do you expect though when Nobuo Uematsu is the musical genius behind it.

I also think the guy who made the first 6 or so final fantasy games also has a hand in it. Has a feeling similar to FFII, IV, and VI.

Air Master. Most people haven't seen it, and those who have gave it negative reviews. Personally, I find it very entertaining. It's about a former gymnast who becomes a street fighter. It's got a lot of female characters who are strong both physically and mentally, and it's not very ecchi. Here's the first episode, in three parts:

Seitokai no Ichizon (hilarious comedy, even if you don't get most of the references and secret touching side)

Kure-nai (absolutley amazing, even though it doesn't like to show off and the ED and OP are not very good)

Inukami! (one of my personal favourites, though a bit of an acquired taste andfirst two episodes can be 'scary')

Baka to Test To Shoukanju (another funny series, idiot characters never had so much charm)

I found Moetan hilarious. And Loveless never gets enough accolades.

chobits and anime that tend to focus on romance tend to just bug the hell out of me for some reason. It isnt true for all of them though I guess.

other than quin saga, what else can I put down....

It may not count, but the newer generation hasn't really had a chance to watch it, but id say Outlaw Star.

I also remember a show way back when toonami midnight run first started. Too bad the show got cancelled right away but I effin loved what I saw. Anime in question is "Pilot Candidate".

I could also mention "crest of the stars", "banner of the stars", and the third one that escapes my memory but is part of the same series. Art style may be a bit odd, but it does follow the manga really well, and I personally loved the manga.

Five underrated and perhaps not as well known anime suggestions

1. Now and Then, Here and There
2. Princess Nine
3. Crest of the Stars
4. R.O.D. , both OVA and TV series
5. Ideon, preferably the movie versions
