Since the show "At the Movies" is airing its last episode on Monday August 16th on the KOMO-4 affliate in Seattle, WA. I like to do a top ten list of these two critics and their most memorable reviews. The show had been on the air for almost twenty five years when it was called Siskel and Ebert and the Movies, changed to Siskel & Ebert a few years later, after Siskel passed it changed to Roger Ebert and The Movies, then Richard Roeper became the perement replacement and it became Ebert and Roeper, then Ebert unable to talk and Roeper's dislike of a new direction, it changed to At the Movies with Michael Phillips and A.O. Scott.

Here's my Top Ten Most Memorable Reviews of All-time:

#10: The Squeeze (1987)--The movie so forgettable that even the great Siskel and Ebert didn't remember how awful that movie was.

#9: Jury Duty (1995)--I may disagree with S&E on alot of things, but this is the movie that I totally agree that sucked.

#8: Full Metal Jacket (1987)--I can't believe Roger Ebert picked the forgettable Benji the Hunted over the classic Stanley Kubrick Vietnam filck. One of few times I agreed with Gene Siskel and I am usually on Team Ebert.

#7: She's Out of Control (1989)--Yeah, the movie is extermely cheesy (even for the late '80s) but these guys thought it was one of the worst films they have ever seen.

#6. Like Father, Like Son (1987)--So ironic that they hated this film, yet the next year, they loved Vice Versa. Actually I agreed with them that Vice Versa is better as I also liked the film, but this movie is just medicore to me.

#5. Black Sheep (1996)--Siskel was so disgusted that he walked out of any movie for the first time since The $1,000,000 Duck in 1969.

#4. Patch Adams (1998)--S&E thought the movie is so syrupy that it made fellow sappy film Stepmom look hardcore.

#3. Dice Rules (1991)--Although I think Dice is an okay stand-up comic, they thought he was just a one joke comic and puts the joke to the ground.

#2. North (1994)--The movie is SO horrible that even Ebert titled his book of bad reviews with his tagline about the film: "I Hated, Hated, Hated, Hated This Movie".

AND #1 MOST MEMORABLE REVIEW THAT SISKEL AND EBERT HAD DONE.....

Leonard Part Six (1987)--The movie that almost destroyed Bill Cosby's career. It's a good thing he had "The Cosby Show" to fall back on at the time as Siskel and Ebert ripped this film a new one!

As the duo ended with every show..."The Balcony is Closed".

RIP "At the Movies" (1986-2010)

Didn't At the Movies premiere in 1982?

I remember hearing about Ebert walking out of Black Sheep. Incidentally, that is one of my favorite movies.

I'll miss "the bald guy arguing with the fat tub of lard", in the words of Homer Simpson.

No, it was Gene Siskel that walked out of Black Sheep. Even though Ebert hated the film, he felt sorry for Chris Farley while Siskel says that he's just another fat man who falls down and screams alot.

Yeah, Sneak Previews is where S&E got their TV start from 1978-1982, so it's great to see the duo in their early days thanks to YouTube.

At the Movies from 1982-1986 is also a good find on YouTube because it has reviews of them doing Ghostbusters, Goonies, Back to the Future, Aliens, etc.

The best of them is still Siskel and Ebert and the Movies (1986-1999) in my opinion because that was the first time I saw the duo when I was a kid.
