Temple Grandin is a really good film about the life of a woman who lives her years of autism.

Really good, I'd recommend getting it.

I don't usually head in the direction of TV movies, even ones from HBO. But I've got to admit, this was a really good film that could've easily stood on its own as a theatrical release.

Yes she did. It's the only movie in a while that made me emotional.

Maybe the best movie I've yet seen on Asperger's.

I hear this movie is very good. I'm reading her book right now, called thinking in pictures. It's very good! She should join this forum!

I maybe mistaken, but I believe the very name "Wrong Planet" is derived from something Grandin had written years ago, describing having Asperger's as being an "alien anthropologist," trying to decipher body and facial language, etc. everyone else takes for granted.
Or was that Atwood?

Seen it, it was a bit intense, but I'm not on that part of the spectrum (a few angstroms up...;)

I remember reading the New Yorker article she wrote in the 90s, and being fascinated, but they just called her 'autistic', or I would have related much earlier...

I found it a bit obvious. Claire Danes is always great. Catch her in Homeland on telly in America.

I was blown away by Danes' performance as Temple Grandin. I found myself wanting that cow-cuddler contraption after the movie was over...
