This film premiered on January 3 in Poland, but for the first time i watched it today in cinema.

In my opinion, this movie is simply marvelous, not to mention the fact that in some very funny at some moments :D

But in the end is a film directed by Martin Scorsese, the guy has a reputation as one of Hollywood's top directors :D

And what a pleasure to watch a movie on DVD? :D

Well unless you are rich as Jordan Belfort, and has a 50 inch TV :-)

In my opinion, movies are best viewed in the cinema, I'm not a rich man.

I try to go to the cinema to see good movies but sometimes you come across some s**t. I was wondering whether to go for the new Robocop, but it's a remake, so I probably would be sh***y.

A similar problem is the new Star Trek, I was on it in the cinema, because I'm a big fan of Star Trek, but I think the new movie is a cheap imitation of Wrath of Khan from 1982

I like to watch tv/films in the comfort of my home with my 3 cats. That way, I don't have to go out into the world.
Last night, I watched Star Trek: Next Generation "Unification" two-parter.

Sometimes a man has to go out to people, especially we aspies and autistic, socialize a little

As for Star Trek The Next Generation is also my favorite show. I especially like Q, but my older brother hate him :D
I wrote about this in more detail in this thread:

That's an interesting thread. I'm not a fan of Q but it is interesting to see why others are.

I enjoyed it. It's as in yer-face and hilarious as humanly possible. DiCaprio is on fire as Jordan Belfort and seems to be having a ball. Jonah Hill steals every scene as his vulgar and loud mouthed colleague with big pearly white teeth. Definitely another gem from Scorsese.

Out of the 9 movies that were nominated for Academy Awards this year, so far I've seen 6 of them. "Wolf" wasn't one of them because of DiCaprio and Scorcese. I think Scorsese is a good director but you can "see" him directing sometimes. He's heavy handed and his direction is in every shot. It can be distracting to me.

Similarly, DiCaprio doesn't impress me as an actor. He was good in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' but that's about it. I've seen quite a number of his movies too but he just doesn't do it for me. The movies I have seen that were a DiCaprio-Scorsese production (The Departed, Shutter Island, Gangs of New York) were just okay. Now you have a film about a subject I have no interest in (Wall Street) so watching this movie seems like a boring chore. For the sake that it was nominated for best film I'll probably give it a looksee.

Saw it. Pretty good. A little long, though.

I'm not surprised that Gordon Gekko was mentioned.

Despite being a three-hour movie, it was very well-done and fast-paced.
