Just finally accepted I have Autism (always blamed my past on my personality). I hate to admit it, but I've always despised autism and autistic people until finally accepting myself. Masking, blending in, and psychology would be considered my "special interest" i guess. I've come to realize that a lonely stoic life just isn't worth it and am finally hoping to reach out and build some relationships with other people like me . If anyone else has had similar experiences with self hatred or social troubles I would love to hear your stories, feel free to reach out. Thank you!

Welcome to WP ..hope your discovering your own autism, based on what you had written : does not cause any self hate in your life . Autism can be tough for some people to accept ? And there are some benefits , to the way , our brains witk, most iften ...imho

Similar experiences! I went through 3 years of shear torture by fellow students in 6-8 grade. They almost killed me, physically killed me. But I survived and grew. You can believe in yourself.
