Geneology used to be one of my special interests, so here comes all the boring details:

Mom's side: almost entirely Scottish (direct paternal ancestor coming from Isle of Skye, the rest is mixture of highlanders & lowlanders), with one French Huguenot and one German ancestor

Dad's side: Haven't had contact with that side of the family in 10 years, and my father was an alcoholic who died when I was 6 months old. They claimed to be Welsh with one African American ancestor. Based on their very dark complexion and location (far Southeastern KY) I suspect they are Melungeon. Pictures of my father look like someone I would describe as Hispanic or S. Italy. (Olive complexion, Euro. face features) Cherokee is also a strong possibility, one of my aunts married a full blood Cherokee.

my parents were both born in cuba

both my fathers parents were born in cuba, but half his grandparents were born in spain, pther half in cuba

my mothers father was born in cuba, his parents also.. my moms mom was born in spain

All I can say is there must have been a whole lotta loving going on in my family tree...when I travel to Mexico, Spain, Italy, etc., folks assume I speak the language. Sometimes people get mad thinking I am pretending I do not understand LOL!

(btw that is a picture of the amazing Katherine Hepburn, not me. I've been told I look like Superman's girlfriend, which, at that time, would have been Margot Kidder!)

Mom's side Irish some members claim Cherokee blood
Father side Scottish and I think French

But like alot of Americans I could be alot of other things to.

50% slovak, my dad is 100% and I am pretty sure he is AS or similar
50% my mom, a mix of german, irish, french and welsh
1% alien DNA per the DNA analysis, along with the small metal bead found in the back of my brain
