I just found out about Asperger syndrome a few months ago but I've had the symptoms all my life. Sensitivity to lights & sounds, migraines, lack of empathy, arm flapping, poor motor control, preference for routines, and the trademark rocking back and forth. The (self) diagnosis has been sort of a relief as I now have a name to put to the symptoms. On top of that I have some physical maladies like scoliosis so I guess I got hit coming and going in that respect.

More about me though: I'm 34, live in rural SD (which is most of the state to be honest), and love gaming particularly the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. I work in retail sales (the irony is not lost on me) and spend the rest of my time online or on the X-Box.

I recently started taking vitamins like B6 and Magnesium to see if it helps like I've heard it can. So far no effect.

My niece was born with scoliosis and TEF, and we think she might be on the autism spectrum as well. She wears a brace and has had a few surgeries so we're hoping she will have a straight spine one day, but we don't know. Even with all of her problems, she is a really happy little girl, so we hope she stays that way......

Wow -- nice choice of words. I will use that next time i realize I may have come off as being self-centered, or boring or crazy to another person

Fortunately my scoliosis isn't bad enough to require a brace but I do get regular backaches because of it.
