HA! YES! Another accountant. I'm a Certified Public Accountant or, I beleive, we are called Chartered Accountants in England. I'm not sure what the correct Assie term is.

Anyway, welcome!

Yes, welcome Jack. How long have you been in Sydney? Are you liking it?

I lived in Melbourne for two months at the Exford Hotel on the corner of Little Bourke and Russell. It was definately a different pace then where I am from in Sydney, but I really enjoyed it. I was in Melbourne during Euro 2004 and the place was going nuts because Greece won it. Melbourne is second to Athens in terms of Greek population in any given city.

I haven't visit this forum for SIX years!! ! I am in a new milestone of my life as I had moved from Melbourne to Sydney and I am living entirely by myself now without any housemates. Living by myself give me a lot of time to think and reflect about what you have learned in the past (eye contacts, social rules....) ,how the world around you works, and many other aspects of life. I am studying Cert 4 of Bookkeeping in North Sydney TAFE College now. Just want to see if there are any other aspie around Sydney area in this forum?

Hi Whiterat!
Being a Chinese Aspie, sometimes I like to think about the cultural concept of "face". In Singapore and Taiwan, it is important to "give face" to others, especially to someone who is of higher social position than us. I am just writing my random thoughts.....so feel free to respond to my unconventional thinking only if you choose to. I don't assume your race is Chinese though.

I am Chinese too. :)

There were times I have said exactly what I was thinking... and only realised later I might have made the person/people I was speaking to/about "lose face".
