I'm planing to go to USA next year in february 15-24.
My goal with the trip is to see how america looks in real life compared to only seeing things on TV, and being an aspie I think it would be perfect to have another aspie showing me the life from their perspective and compare to how it is in sweden.

I'm active in politics regarding autism here in sweden and would really like to meet someone who is active over there!
Or maybe someone who is studying/ researching psychology, it would be very fun to sneak in to a lecture/ seeing the collage community.

I hate hotels so I would like to stay at someones house while I'm there, but if you'd like to meet but not offer me a bed I would like that as well! I haven't decided on where in USA I'm going yet, it'll depend on who answers! :)

Please answer this thread or send me a PM!

Saying you want to see what life here is like a Martian saying he wants to see what Earth is like -- you can't see it all, especially in a week. The U.S. is so large and culturally diverse that most Americans do not know what the entire country is like. It can take three or four days to drive from one coast to the other.

Where specifically do you want to see in the U.S? Most Europeans I have met head straight to New York. It's certainly an experience, but New York is very different from the rest of the U.S. Other popular cities, such as Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, are also very different, both from the rest of America and each other.

When I visit another country, I prefer to stick to one region and just see as much of it as I can. For instance, the Northeastern U.S. (running from Virginia to Maine) is the closest to Europe, and thus the oldest and most densely-settled part of the country. You can get a pretty good idea of how that part of the country lives, mindful that there are many, many, many parts of the country that live totally differently and are some distance from there.

I know that the different states are sometimes as different countries, I don't know what I want to see, I like to travel alot and now I got USA on my mind.

New York, LA, Las Vegas and SF are the places that I thought I would avoid cause there is so much turism, I would rather see everyday life in smaller cities/towns.

The Pacific Northwest where I live is quite beautiful. 260 miles (420km) north of San Francisco.

I'm more interested in seeing the society than the nature.

But now when I took an extra look at the second pictures I almost change my mind.
