Waves to you all.

Whew. I am exhausted. We had our computer guy come and reset our passwords and connect our iPads and get rid of annoying pop-ups and look for voice to text apps, and look, my phone already had a voice to text app. Teeny-tiny so we looked for something that would post more words. Then he had to reset our TV.
I hate that we have college degrees and are pretty good at taking IQ tests, but when it comes to computers we are total idiots.
Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, posits that all of us are totally stupid at something. Yeah, true. But cold comfort.

Hey JimmyGoat, your avatar looks like my dog, only hairier. After a big racoon lugged off my ducks and one big chicken, I had only one big chicken left. The replacement chicks were killed by my naked doggie, so he's looking for a new home, though he doesn't know it yet.

Heh. I've got two rescue Chihuahuas, one deer type (looks like a tiny Doberman-marked moose) and the other looks much like the photo as well. :>

Lil Bob Dylan?

Some time ago a crazy dream came to me
I dreamt I was walkin’ into World War Three
I went to the doctor the very next day
To see what kinda words he could say
He said it was a bad dream
I wouldn’t worry ’bout it none, though
They were my own dreams and they’re only in my head

I said, “Hold it, Doc, a World War passed through my brain”
He said, “Nurse, get your pad, this boy’s insane”
He grabbed my arm, I said, “Ouch!”
As I landed on the psychiatric couch
He said, “Tell me about it”

Well, the whole thing started at 3 o’clock fast
It was all over by quarter past
I was down in the sewer with some little lover
When I peeked out from a manhole cover
Wondering who turned the lights on

Well, I got up and walked around
And up and down the lonesome town
I stood a-wondering which way to go
I lit a cigarette on a parking meter and walked on down the road
It was a normal day

Well, I rung the fallout shelter bell
And I leaned my head and I gave a yell
“Give me a string bean, I’m a hungry man”
A shotgun fired and away I ran
I don’t blame them too much though, I know I look funny

Down at the corner by a hot-dog stand
I seen a man
I said, “Howdy friend, I guess there’s just us two”
He screamed a bit and away he flew
Thought I was a Communist

Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave
“Let’s go and play Adam and Eve”
I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin’
When she said, “Hey man, you crazy or sumpin’
You see what happened last time they started”

Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown
And there was nobody aroun’
I got into the driver’s seat
And I drove down 42nd Street
In my Cadillac. Good car to drive after a war

Well, I remember seein’ some ad
So I turned on my Conelrad
But I didn’t pay my Con Ed bill
So the radio didn’t work so well
Turned on my record player—
It was Rock-a-day Johnny singin’, “Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa
Our Love’s A-gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah”

I was feelin’ kinda lonesome and blue
I needed somebody to talk to
So I called up the operator of time
Just to hear a voice of some kind
“When you hear the beep it will be three o’clock”
She said that for over an hour
And I hung up

Well, the doctor interrupted me just about then
Sayin’, “Hey I’ve been havin’ the same old dreams
But mine was a little different you see
I dreamt that the only person left after the war was me
I didn’t see you around”

Well, now time passed and now it seems
Everybody’s having them dreams
Everybody sees themselves
Walkin’ around with no one else
Half of the people can be part right all of the time
Some of the people can be all right part of the time
But all of the people can’t be all right all of the time
I think Abraham Lincoln said that
“I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours”
I said that

No he said that, but I'll repeat it..... "“Give me a string bean, I’m a hungry man”
A shotgun fired and away I ran""

Thought I should check in, just cause.... :)

Hi, I have meant to post here just to announce that I have recently turned 61 although I haven't yet decided to put my age in my public profile. Perhaps you can understand why.

Hi MaxE and Auntblabby.

My husband decided he was through trying to repair and fix up our old house and our autistic daughter's duplex. So no we're looking for land to build a triplex on with us on one end, our daughter in the middle, and the caregivers on the other end. So we sell the duplex and make some money, we sell our house and lose some money, sell his business, maybe that will make enough money to pay for it. But downpayments, permits, on and on. How will we do this?
So, grieving the future loss of my present landscape, but a few days ago found out it was raspberries that were making me so allergy sick for years. Noooooooooo. So maybe losing the thirty foot long raspberry trellis that fills our freezer with delicious for an entire year is actually a good thing. I do need a new place with much, much less maintenance needed, but not so little I can't have fun outside anymore. Insert cuss words here. I hate moving. I really hate moving. I'm going to miss my psuedoplatanus Eskimo Sunset and tricolor beech and chocolate mimosas glory bower and fruit trees.
Diabetes is giving me enough trouble that I'm not sure I'll be able to go with my husband to Rwanda in January or not. He bought the ticket, but I might send my sister instead. Her son is helping with the Kim Foreman Bible Institute in Rwanda right now.
So much to think about I'm having trouble sleeping at night.
So, what's going on with all of you?

Rwanda sounds like a very hot and uncomfortable place.

Burundi is a hot, uncomfortable place. Rwanda is up in the mountains, the land of a thousand hills. The temps vary between 70 Fahrenheit and 90 degrees. In January the temps drop to the high sixties to the high seventies, and everybody shivers and wears thick coats. There are fewer mosquitoes and all around fewer bugs than what you think of when you think of steamy jungles. The humidity is low, except in April when the rain is constant. January has the occasional rain storm. It's all shirt sleeve weather to me. I stay in the shade and wear wide-brimmed hats and I do okay. At home in the Pacific Northwest of USA I keep my house at 64 to be comfortable. I can never remember what that equals in Centigrade. Sorry.
Right now, Rwanda is about the safest country in Africa.

my spirit is from the island of lovable toy humans :) but my body lives in mason county. it would rather live in Thurston county or grays harbor county or Clallam county. but mason county is cheap living so that is why my body stays until I win the lotto or something.

I love this time of year when the trees glow. Wish I weren't so tired, though. How is everybody doing?
