Can't add to my blog?

Hi. I can't seem to add to my blog at the moment as it says I can't add clickable links until I've been a member for 5 days. Obviously I've been a member for ages and I'm not trying to add any links so what's going on there?

Bump. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I am also having this problem.

I like WP but the bugs are getting a little beyond a joke. All you'd have to do to fix them would be to do an upgrade to the latest PHPBB (assuming it's PHPBB). Of course if an upgrade isn't possible we might have to loose the history of WP, which is awful. But if it fixed the problem then in a year everyone would be over it and we'd have the history back again.

I'm a Web Developer and would be willing to help out if you have issues. I have years of PHP / XHTML / CSS experience. I know there are other Web Devs around who would be willing to help as well.

Yeah I'm having this problem too so hopefully this gets fixed soon. I've really been wanting to write in it.

Thanks, yes it's working fine now. I did a thorough test to make sure it was fixed.

What is the problem you're experiencing? Is it the same error outlined in my original post or does something else happen when you try and add/edit to the blog?

after i click "add new entry" & paste the text in & save, i get this screen:

& it never shows up on the list of blog entries:

The first screen says "blog entry added" for me (i'm assuming that's what it says for you as well). When I add I get the post in a list with the add, edit and delete buttons. I retested with a large amount of text and it seemed fine. I think this could be another browser issue. Are you using a standards compliant browser such as Firefox, Opera, Safari or Chrome? If not then upgrade to one of those, they are much better. Personlly I'm using Firefox and there are no problems.

it doesn't say "blog entry added" anywhere on the page; & when i go to the list, there's an untitled one with 0 comments tagged "no" in the "public" column, & there's nothing to open

But which browser are you using? Have you tried alternatives?

wait--explorer (!) seems to do it...well, for the word "test". trying the full entry gives me, not "blog entry added", but a box with the blog entry & the words (inside the box): "Sorry. Clickable links are not allowed in blog entries until you've been a member for 5 days."
