This is the best day so far of the new year. I finally gather up the courage to check my grades online

I got a "B" in everything! I am so freakin happy right now words can't describe what I'm feeling.

But even better yet, it's bumped my GPA up to 2.54, which means I've been accepted in the "college of letters and science" which means I can start taking the courses for my degree I signed up for!

Once again, I say (and excuse me for gloating)

Take that all you nay-sayers who said I was destined to be a spectacular failure

Oh, and sparkplug, a much belated thanks for your comments in my previous thread about the end of the semester.

Thank you, Thank you very much

I'm a chocolate fanatic, but were not getting store bought cake since it leaves a nasty chemical preservative aftertaste in my mouth.

BTW, having worked in a grocrey store, when a store's bakery claims that their stuff is "homemade", that's usually a load of bull since bakery cake mix usually comes pre-mixed in 50lbs sacks that are thrown around by truck crew workers like they were soccer balls.

The only ingredient you need to add is water. Pilsbury cake mix takes more work to prepare, and tastes a lot better.

I've been rewarding myself tonight. I pulled out my old 8086 based IBM ps/2-30 and have been playing commander keen.

CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you! There is only one thing that I don't understand: how could anyone assume such negative things about you that you mentioned? It's just incomprehensible.

By the way, what is the "college of letters and science"?

These were all the people who didn't hold out hope for me when I was in my K-12 education becasue I was the "odd man out".

It's really not a "college" per say... The "college of letters and science" is a fancy name of calling all the degree-specific classes in arts and science degree programs. In order to take these classes, you need a minimum GPA, usually 2.5, some are 3.0. My degree program is 2.5.

I'll take you up on the offer sometime.

And thanks again for your comments.

Yay! I'm so happy for you!

Mmm.... Chocolate! Sounds good, but wouldn't you rather have Yogurt Surprise Popsicles? Or Candy Clay? I just love my newly-discovered talent of making desserts and snacks! Yum!

Anyway, Congrats, Scoots! I really don't know how such an experience feels like, as I'm still in 7th grade, but I'm happy for you anyway.
