So I went into my sociology class today, and the professor struck me as particularly aspie. I think he shifted his gaze away when I looked at him (to signify paying attention) during his brief lecture and when I took the handout (a syllabus) before class started. His voice was poorly modulated and rather flat. He used a few "big words" like pedagogical. He already showed signs of an unusual sense of humor. He didn't have much facial expression. He might be one of us!

As a lit professor, I am acutely aware (and "acutely" is a small word) that Computer Programming and being a College Professor are the number one Aspie careers on a professional level.
It strikes me that a college professor can relate to subject matter more than students and function well. What you describe sounds a lot like how students describe me.
