Ok so the supervisor called me in for appraisal

I rated myself 4 for initial task

She asked why i rated 4 - above expectation.

What extraordinary thing i did....so i went blank she said i am rating you 3

Then we reached the page for social interaction where she said i have rated myself 3
she said i never made any effort to socialise with team members, stake holders and neither
tried making relationship
She rated me 2

she took me to our Managers, the manager kept asking me why i dont socialise
she asked is there something wrong with people here....
she kept asking am i afraid of them

i said there is nothing wrong with them
its wrong with me i have ASPERGER plus Social anxiety
I was quite scared to disclose this and in two years of my working there i have never
disclosed personal information
and no one bothered to ask me.

She understood the term Aspergers but yes i dont know whats coming in for me
we do have a couple of weeks holiday now for festival season
but what is usually expected for others once they disclose their disability at workplace

I don't know how it is where you live, but if you were in America, I'd say, "Update your resume".

Probably depends on where you live. If you're in the UK, then your work is legally obliged to make changes/accommodations to help you out and you could take them to court if they now fire you. If you're in America it seems to be a lottery depending on which state you're in.

The OP is in India I believe.

As for why no one asked you, I don't know about India but in America it's illegal to ask someone if they have a disability. They have to disclose it themselves.

You may wish to see if your health insurance will cover a diagnosis. Here where I am, that is the case.

I find it hard to believe that your job requires social interaction so much you actually get a performance rating on it! What on earth is your job that this is such a big deal??

I work for a NGO i teach slum kids spoken english
the NGO is owned by a leading private bank
The appraisal form which they use in their bank for their MBA holding managers, CEO's etc
the same appraisal form they are using in the NGO for appraisal..
this half yearly appraisal was mock for us to actually prepare for final appraisal in march
the appraisal form consist of 3 major parts
and one of the part is social interaction part.

well in banks the salaries are hiked 10-20% and that would be a huge amount hike
but here a 10% hike means 500rupees barely much
because our salaries are just in 4 figures monthly and even the cost of cooking gas as gone up by 8%

I cannot really relate to your situation in India but last time I got appraised with a 3/5 (just after saving a company thousands of pounds with a new system delivered early and with better than anticipated results) I handed in my notice.

If people cant respect what you do, find someone who will.

In North America, some health insurance companies cover it. I don't know about India. Just saying...

Thats too much to ask for given my total lack of self esteem, self confidence, lack of communication and social skills

I think this is sound advice. It took me decades of being treated badly before someone pointed this out to me.
