I checked several ASL dictionaries that I found when I searched ask.com for 'ASL dictionary" and yogurt seems hard to find. I'd try to fingerspell it. here is a link to one site, it uses quicktime to run video of someone signing, but it doesn't have a search box, it only has video of the signs it lists. I found plate, spoon, fork and phone, but just apple, not applesauce, and no yogurt.

I didn't have quicktime, so I went to www.quicktime.com and it's free to download there. I wanted to see if the videos were any good, and I understood them just fine.

Good luck.

You should get a book from a library on the American Sign Language... it is much better to see how to sign these words when they are shown as a photograph in a book.

Truly, a picture says a thousand words...

Oh, I looked at that ASL site again, and they have both a sign for apple and one for sauce...if you sign them in order you can convey applesauce as a compound sign. Still no dice on "yogurt". Sorry, I do think you'll have to fingerspell that, and maybe the deaf person you want to talk to can show you a sign for it.

Haha i was just going to request that site to you as well. I'm training to be a sign language interpreter, that site helps a million!
