Game: Ultimate Destiny.

Premise: Imagine an FPS with the craziness of smash bros, where emphasis is not on racing to the Rocket Launcher but on cool choreographed fights. Before the game starts, you create your character; depending on the server settings, you get a limited number of points to spend on your character. You can choose attributes (invisible bonuses, such as how much damage you can take, your ability to use ranged weapons, etc) and 4 abilities (stuff like Bullet Time, Invisible Wires, Telekinesis, etc. Really powerful abilities that drain the energy bar).

Combat is done in first-person. You use the controllers as described to participate in a VERY elaborate form of deathmatch. Emphasis is placed not on racing to get the Rocket Launcher first, but on kung-fu fighting; imagine a game where you fire a gun, empty its clip (this game doesn't let you reload weapons as you never see reloads in the movies), then throw the gun at someone hitting them on the head assuming they didn't block it with a nearby object.
Controls:

You have two revmotes which represent your character’s hands (as having two remotes effectively doubles the number of buttons for the game.) You use them to fight and interact with the world.

Interaction: Your character has two disembodied hands (they resemble spheres) which can interact with nearly everything on the map; moving the remotes moves your hands around to do stuff. Whether to block, punch, slap, push, etc, your character will respond to your movement input, using Newtonian mechanics to convert momentum of an attack to actual damage. Hands are invincible and can block any attack except for those from edged weapons, explosives, or bullets. If a hand is interposed in between these, then the attack goes through it and temporarily disables it for a period of time depending on the damage done. If enough damage is done, it’s possible for you to actually drop whatever you’re carrying. The camera stays centered on a point in between both hands’ targeting reticules; moving both revmotes in the same direction will rotate your character.

The A button lets one pick up or drop an item, or grab onto whatever your hands open up to allow you to grab. If you drop an item, it will move at the velocity of your hand at you dropped the item, meaning you can throw anything you pick up. It is actually possible to pick up other characters, letting you throw them or (should your character be on ‘Roids) rip them apart by two by jerking the revmotes in opposite directions. If you’re REALLY good, you can actually grab onto a weapon an opponent is holding after which it becomes a tug-of war to see who can hold onto the weapon (meaning if you get in melee you can actually aim your opponent’s gun away from you).

The B-button lets you activate item functions. It lets you fire pistols, pull the pin on a grenade, open an umbrella, etc. Some say this is a cliché mapping, but if it ain’t broke…
First D-pad: The first D-pad allows him to move about, ala a standard FPS. If by misfortune you happen to be picked up, rotating the Dpad around allows you to wriggle your way free; this is a lot easier to pull off if you were grabbed from the front.
Second D-pad: You can map special abilities to this pad at the beginning of a match. Pressing the D-pad in a certain direction then allows you to activate a special ability.

As for shells, I honestly am not a fan of them as they emphasize weakness in the original design; that said the only item I could see is a circuit designed to hook up two controllers one next to another, so that you can hold both revmotes in conjunctionas a rifle.

Description:
--------------
+Revmote+Revmote
--------------

The - signs= wire, and the + signs equal where you connect the two parts of the shell.
Approx cost=6 bucks as it's nothing but plastic and a circuit designed to detect when two remotes are linked to each other. To pick up a two-handed item, both your character’s hands must be free. Then you select it with one remote and press A; the game will prompt you to put both controllers together; putting them together is like putting legos together in that it literally is a snap. To drop an item, press the A buttons on both controllers simultaneously; you can then snap the controller apart with ease.

Graphics: Characters are primitive, low-textured, lightly cel-shaded models. The actual maps are 3d and polygonal, though low-quality to compensate for the fact most of the levels will be partially destroyable save for several boundaries.

Appendix
Health: If this reaches 0, you're dead. Replenish this slowly by removing
Energy: Used to power special abilities; kill your opponents to replenish your energy; certain types of kills (punching an opponent to death, headshots, multikills, etc.) replenish energy faster.

Attributes:
Ammo Within: When you run out of bullets, you can still fire your gun but YOU take damage instead.
Barrel Greaser: The bullets exit your gun faster; more speed=more damage, right?
Brawler: You know how to hit 'em hard. Increase the damage done by your melee attacks.
Doctor: Heal more damage when you run into a medkit.
Extra Ammo: You've figured out how to cram more ammo into a clip.
Fast-shot: For some reasons, your guns have higher firing rates when in your hands. Even the most professional engineers are astounded.
Golden Bullet: Your last bullet will never fail; just don't miss.
High-Caliber: You do more damage with your weapons.
Iron Grip: You have an easier time holding onto your weapons.
Pitcher: For reasons unexplained by Newtonian physics, you throw objects at very fast speeds.
Rocket Jumper: You take less damage from explosives but suffer more knockback.
Speed Monkey: You sure get around.
Stylish: Gain more energy per kill.
Suicidal: You are armed with a suicide bomb that goes off when you die.
Tough Guy: Shrug off the worst of wounds.
Wrestler: If you grab someone, they have a harder time trying to break free. If you’re grabbed, you have an easier time breaking free.

Abilities (will add more later): You can only ever have 4 abilities.
Bullet Time: Press the D-pad to toggle; while on, Bullet Time makes time seem a lot slower and your reflexes increase as a result. To pull this off in multiplayer, you appear to be moving faster and look like a blur.
Flare Shot: Toggle with Dpad. While this ability is toggled, your bullets have a random chance of catching whatever they strike on fire.
Hammerhands: Press Dpad to toggle. While this is on, your hands can block ANY attack; even bullets and katana blades. Your hands are larger too meaning they do more damage and take up more space. You just can't use the A button anymore...
Illusion: Creates mirror copies of yourself; only you can take damage.
Impel: Pushes everything directly in front of you away from you. Can save yourself from flying objects, or can be used just to push opponents off of high ledges.
Jetpack: Toggle with the D-pad to fly up in the air.
Regeneration: Heal damage over time, by holding down the Dpad.
Telekinesis: Lock onto a target with an empty hand and press the D-pad to toggle. You can then move the object as you please with the remote corresponding to the empty hand. Do as Vader did and throw a table around; or use it to snatch a weapon from far away. Slowly drains energy.

Weapons: If there's an item in the map, chances are you can use it as a weapon. Whether a chair, a beer bottle (combine with a match for much fun) or even other players (if you grab them; they can resist by moving the movement Dpad around like crazy.) chances are you can pick it up and use it. In addition to adding damage from melee attacks, some items have abilities which you can use by pressing the B button.

A tentative list of weapons is below (meaning that there may be even MORE weapons in the final game!).

9mm Beretta: A basic pistol. Note that if you hold your revmotes backwards, you hold the guns by the barrels, allowing you to fight using Gun-Kata ala the movie Equilibrium.
AK-47: A two-handed assault rifle, meaning you have to link up your two revmotes. The trigger behind will fire the gun, while the secondary trigger activates a grenade launcher.
Bag of Money: Press B to shower your opponent with coins.
Beer bottle: Press B to pour alcohol into an area. Smash it against a wall to break it, then you can use it to stab people. If you throw the bottle, alcohol spills. If enough alcohol accumulates in an area, you can set a fire with a lighter.
Electro Boomerang: Hold B to fire and use the remote to guide where it goes. Release B to make the Electro Boomerang return to you.
Fireman's Axe: Excellent for chopping or throwing.
Grapple Gun: Press B to shoot a grapnel; if you don't like where it landed, pull back on the remote to jerk it back towards you. Otherwise, hold B to pull yourself towards the grapnel. Note, if you hit your opponent, you can actually fly towards your opponent. This is fun if you combine the Grapple with a melee weapon like a Katana because you'll have quite a bit of momentum built up by the time you get to your opponent.
Flamethrower: Burns targets up. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
Grenade: Very powerful explosive; just remember to press B to pull the pin BEFORE you throw it.
Katana: Great for slashing or stabbing; doesn't throw well.
Knife: Useful for stabbing, slashing or throwing.
Lance: A really long stick. It has no special function but has a really long range. Related to this are the spear and the pool cue.
Laser: Small ammo capacity, but its attack penetrates walls and goes to hit multiple targets.
Laser Sword: B function similar to the Electro Boomerang. Can parry deflect attacks and bullets (meaning it goes great with bullet time).
Lighter: Press B to alternate between it being lit or unlit; move the flame to a flammable object to set it on fire.
Misc. Items: Some items have no function but you can still pick them up and throw them. Examples include chairs, computers, potted plants/cacti, etc.
MP5K H&K: Fast-firing one-handed SMG.
Nunchucks: Either usable one-handed or two-handed (you don’t need the revmote).
Razorwire: Two-handed but you don’t need the revmote. The weapon is stretched between your two hands and you can use it to strangle people for stealthy kills.
Shotgun: Two-handed weapon meaning you have to link revmotes; Useful at close range; weak at long distance unless combined with Golden Bullet. First trigger fires a single shot, while the second trigger activates a tactical flashlight to blind opponents.
Sniper Rifle: A two-handed sniper rifle. The first trigger fires while the second one toggles different scope zooms.
Spray Can: Used by holding the revmote vertically, like a real spray can. It does no damage but can temporarily blind opponents. If one holds a lighter in front of the spray can, it will function like a poor man’s flamethrower. It has infinite ammo, but you must shake the controller every now and then to represent having to shake a spray can.
Umbrella: A one-handed melee weapon. The trigger opens or closes the umbrella. While the umbrella is closed, it does more melee damage, and while open it functions as a shield.
Uzi: See MP5 H&K.

Single-player:
The story is an afterthought; for all intents in purposes I might use the plot from Bad Dudes. "Ninja's have kidnapped the president. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue him?" You do missions and as you beat them you gain level-ups at certain checkpoints. You can then spend those level-ups on attributes, making you a deadlier soldier.

Multiplayer:
Lots of people fighting each other or on teams. This is to be the Smash Bros of FPS games. You create your character by selecting a variety of facial features (Hair, ears [including nekomimi ^_^], glasses, etc, body features (suit, etc), and so on so forth. Then depending on the server, you get a certain number of points to spend on attributes, as well as up to 4 different abilities. So there is a character-creation aspect to the game.

Levels:
Levels have pre-determined weapons, and you can choose for MORE items to randomly spawn, ala Smash Bros. These are not all the levels.
Barroom: Full of chairs, tables, beer bottles, lighters, pool cues, and the occasional shotgun, this is melee combat at its finest. Feel free to swing on the chandeliers for greater effect.
Future Wars: Flamethrowers, Lasers, Laser Swords, Electro boomerangs, Grapnel Guns, and Grenades are the weapons of the day.
Grid: Remember the shootout scene in the first Matrix movie? This is a four-floor building with a basement full of pillars, 3 rooms full of cubicles (and appropriate stuff, such as computers, office chairs, and pictures little girls drew for their daddies), and a helipad at the roof (complete with a Helicopter Pad). Any weapon will appear in this map, so be prepared.
Temple of Gloom: Many platforms over pits of lava; the weapons of the day are Grapnel Guns, Knives, Grenades, AK-47s, and shotguns.
Yakuza Casino: Full of Katanas, pistols, MP5s, AK-47s, Tables, Chairs, bags of money, etc. Feel free to knock over slot machines to flatten unsuspecting opponents.

Misc options: The option exists for matches to be recorded. The player can then play with the camera to view individual fights going on, etc. and can then save a movie as an AVI file which can then be transferred to PC. Expect fansites to pop up showing really cool battles.

There will be a Map-editor mode, somewhere in between that of Half-Life 1 and Timesplitters for complexity. The game doesn’t use memory-card restrictions.
