Favorite Music in Gaming

I was going through a marathon of the classic Mega Man games and I always enjoy the music they used.

I want to know everyones favorite music in video game be it classic or recently released.

One of my favorite has been Topman's stage.

Favourite of all time? Probably Final Fantasy VI. Though many others come to mind, including Final Fantasy VII, Cave Story, and the Zelda and Metal Gear Solid series.

The Mega Man and Castlevania series are famous for having good music most of the time. Other video game series with lots of good music are Sonic the Hedgehog, Gradius, F-Zero, Super Monkey Ball, and Starfox to name a few of them.

THe orchestral music from "Total Annihilation," gets me every time. Thats followed closely by the soundtrack from Mechwarrior 2 (as well as GBL and Mercenaries).

Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Xenogears

I have many games that I really enjoy the music, but these are my all time favorites so far. All happen to be done by the same studio.

Yeah, the music from TA is one of my favourites. I was really, really into TA, but have never been able to get into SC.

I also liked the theme music from Stryker's Run for the BBC. It was a long while before I found out that it wasn't original:

(That happened to me rather a lot with old computer games and demos (my first introductions to Midnight Summer Dream and Gimme Gimme Gimme, for instance.) Life was good back in them days when noone was gonna sue the people who made the games. )

You've probably figured out this already, but I just love the music from most of the Mario games. They're fun and put me in a good mood.

The Donkey Kong Country and Kirby games.

Quite a few of the themes in the mario games, especially the simple underground theme from the original
Zelda series has too many to list
Chrono trigger had a few, dont remember which
Chrono cross - Nikkis Song, and the Marbule song as well as the theme (Alot of people may hate the game, but I loved every bit of it.)
Pretty much everything in "The world ends with you" especially the stuff that plays when fighting Miniamoto or whatever his name was, especially the music with his final form
