anyone else play dwarf fortress?

I have been mostly playing adventure mode im currently trying to kill a bronze colossus with a platinum war hammer right now its just a head and torso but im not really getting anywhere but legendary dodging and hammer user. im just worried about one of those freak things happening like it rolls over my guys legs and breaks them and makes him pass out from pain then crushing my guy to death while hes passed out

Freak things happening are part of what DF is all about! Like throwing a roach at a wolf so hard that the wolf explodes.

I mostly play Fortress mode myself though, havent really jumped into Adventure mode yet.

Took bloody forever to learn the game, but it was soooooooo worth it.

well I went and got an axe and beheaded the colossus from a body that was nearby. then I went a necromancer tower sneaked in and stole the book to learn the secretes of life and death. then I went straight for the nearest town and started raising the dead now im 300 zombies strong
