That's quite ridiculous. It simply promotes ease of location for consumers. I know when I want refried beans and corn tortillas, I go to the Mexican Foods aisle. I'd hate to have to locate things by ingredient (corn aisle for tortillas, which would also be inundated with cereals, canned corn, frozen corn, corn dogs, cornbread, corn flour, corn starch corn syrup, cornflake crumbs, etc. and bean aisle for beans). You'd spend an eternity searching for the desired product. It's no more racist than grouping all the seafood together.

I wonder if the perch take offense (due to being freshwater fish)...

These PC people are getting ridiculous I sometimes cook asian food and I wouldn't want to be hunting around the supermarket looking for asian things.
Our local supermarkets Coles, Woolworths and IGA have them all together its easier for customers.

That's not racist marketing and product placement.

I doubt many black women would find it racist that all the products they might want to buy for their hair are grouped together. It saves them searching through all the stuff to find the things they want. Is it racist that most black women go to hairdressers that specialise in their hair type and that other hairdressers would politely tell them they didn't want to tackle their hair? I wish there were some who specialised in in-betweeny hair types, as the 'white' people's hairdressers don't know what to do with mine. I would like an in-betweeny section in the supermarket too - the closest we have to that is a section filled with Frizz-Ease products. :D

That's the HISPANIC food section,at least that's what it says in our store.
And we call them bream, not perch.
And as for the cracker isle,or here it would be the hillbilly isle we prefer Bush beer,Sr.Louis is not to far.And for some reason R.C. And moon pies are not that big in this part of the state, but we do like our pig skins  But I'm a diva,I don't drink canned beer, gross.

I like moon pies and pork rinds but I don't care what kinda sodapop it is as long as it's not that diet shi+.
I don't care for cheap beer and never buy it.
The cheapest beer I'll buy is Yuengling or Michelob.

Isn't there a law that says you have to have a full beard, smoke a pipe, and wear either a turtleneck or a tweed jacket with leather patches on the elbows to drink Michelob?

^^^^Some of the wisest people I know say around the court house lawn whittling, there would be a huge pile of shavings at their feet.If you listened to them talk they sounded like ignorant Arkansas hicks, but if you really listened you could learn a lot. They would not have considered themselves intellectuals, maybe they weren't.But they survived the hard years, and being smart is not confined to book learning. Those old men were some of the wisest people I have ever met. There breed is gone now and there aren't any piles of shavings on the courthouse lawn. The world is a poorer place without them.
