You're still vomiting up the same cop-out as before.

By serious issues I imagine you mean poverty and an awful track record of human rights violations caused by communism Leninist dictatorship?

Indeed, but you seem incapable of understanding the Leninist dictatorship and communism are not synonyms.

Jeez, North Korea is an absolutist monarchy LARPing as communists but somehow that's supposed to be an attractive destination for self-identified communists.

Emma Goldman (among people) wrote books criticizing the USSR from a communist perspective.

Practically every Leninist dictatorship that has ever existed has faced left-wing criticisms and yet you seem to reduce communism down to a team jersey and ask why don't they just go play for the other team? while choosing to remain oblivious to the fact that people have already answered your question thoroughly and have been doing so for nearly a century.

Samsung isn't state owned and China is capitalist for the most part.

Also, it's hard to deny that capitalist nations are lightyears ahead tech wise of communist nations.

No, but most businesses in Russia and Mainland China are not state owned either.

Whether one nation or another, East or West, is more advanced technologically depends on the technology.

That is not true. I know many communists who would prefer to live in China. Some have tried and have been denied visas.

As a libertarian communist, there is, truthfully, nowhere I want to live. Therefore, for convenience and out of habit, I stay where I am.

Define a communist country. There are only about four of them now. All of them, except for North Korea, are moving toward capitalism.

I know a communist who lives in China, who is deeply critical of China's "communism".

I wonder where Nades thinks they should move.

They could move to the Philippines, where Communism is openly criticized for its violence and other abuses.

Sounds like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Also, why should they leave their homeland when they can work to improve it? Just because you fled your homeland rather than working to improve it, doesn't mean that's what most people desire.

Hmm . . . I may add that to the list, slightly edited.

I worked over 50 years to improve my country.

Then Trump showed up.

Enough is enough.

Then the person does not understand communism. China has not been communist in years.

They're well aware of that. :?

Wouldn't it be insinuating that communism perhaps never works out all that well considering every single communist nation that has ever been around seems to be, or have been hell holes? I'm sure they started out with nobel intentions with many of them but those intentions soon became lost........just look at the comments on this thread as to what some members want to do to people who own capital while simultaneously disliking authoritarianism.

Making ones bed and sleeping in it comes to mind. If property seizing and jailing people for owning capital is OK with many communists, then what hang ups do they have about moving to an authoritarian country with dodgy human rights? It's a legitimate question and not a cop out. You said they have their own problems but fail to elaborate.

As capitalism continues to decline, globally, people will become angrier at capitalist globalization and their own deceasing standards of living. Those are among the major sources of fascism. More and more Trump-like figures may arise.

The only redeeming quality of Trump is that he is not too bright. There are many smart neofascists to take his place the world over.

Not everyone is aware of it. To many people, communism has simply become another term for any system I dislike.
