Hmm... I need to say something profound...

He who wishes to be a guru will never be one.

Sounds profound enough. :D

You are absolutely right. I already am a guru, so there's no point trying to become one.

be careful! apparently any power can corrupt--even Guru power. (please see Michael Parenti's exposition of the Dalai Lama. www.michaelparenti.org.

another book you might want to consider: "the guru papers: masks of authoritarian power," Kramer and Alsted.

ps: i'm not saying it can't happen. maybe you'll be one of the world's nice gurus. (like Frodo with the rings.)

good luck to you, Pascal, in your endeavor. please remember i'm often grumpy and cynical.

Time has flown and I haven't figured out how to realize my dream...

Is becoming a personal coach the same as being a GURU?

sit all day and smoke weed - but with an audience. and they must pay you.

so.

you must be SO wise, SO deep that your friends spread rumors about you, i guess you have to blatantly advertise yourself for a while. do you have a beard? you should look like you are truly a guru, you cant come and be like them. theyll think "hes like me... " you have to be above them, gurus are above people spiritually, but nice enough to try to help

i dunno how youll get them to pay, you have to make a living, i dont think you can be a real guru and work at the supermarket, again "hes like me"

ok

heres something i KNOW works, for short periods, cus i know nutjobs who did it:
guru around for food

people can afford to pay you w a dinner, and you do your guru stuff in return!
