Of course it is real. It exists and it is somewhere between 1500 and 1000 years old. What it is NOT, is the burial shroud of the late Jesus of Nazerith.

I saw a documentary recently where scientists had analysed it. They concluded that the shroud is actually a primitive example of a photograph. And the man in the picture is Leonardo Da Vinci in old age. It was dated to his time too so its only about 500 years old.

I think the Shroud of Turin is a false relic. Carbon dating indicates that it's only a few hundred years old.

The scientist who originally performed the carbon dating retracted his conclusions before he died of cancer.

Well it might be his burial shroud, but more to the point it in no way provides proof of the existence of god. I think it is highly likely that a popular preacher named Jesus annoyed the Roman and Jewish hierarchy and got crucified for his troubles. Lets face it there were plenty of crucifixions, plenty of people with the name Jesus, plenty of preachers, and plenty of ignorant and idiotic followers. So who cares if these followers revered his dead corpse and souvenired his burial shroud, if genuine, all it demonstrates is the ability for ignorant people to believe in nonsense

Okay, I meant to make this a poll, and I followed the instructions in order to create a poll, but it didn't work. I KNOW it's real, as in it exists, but I meant is it genuine... I think you guys got the gist of what I was asking.
