Many other countries were spending outside their means bigtime like Greece, which is what the Democrats were trying to do, they made the Republicans from 2001-2006 look fiscally responsible, which is why the Democrats refused to make a budget.

No matter what you say, it doesn't change the fact that banks in the US were forced to make bad loans by the community reinvestment act or they were sued or other punitive actions were taken.

As to foreign banks going belly up, some of them invested in these bad loans or made other poor decisions.

Your grasp of basic math is pretty bad.

All discretionary spending could be 0 including military, and we would still be running a substancial deficit due to entitlements. If I remember correctly something like a half trillion dollar deficit.

So the problem is entitlements not military spending. Furthermore we made a mess when we went into those countries, it's only logical to clean up after ourselves, further I would rather fight terrorists overseas than in the US.

So now your claim is that the Democrats, all by themselves, invented Social Security and Medicare (presumably you think that they invented part D as well?), and kept those programs alive through decades of concerted efforts by the Repubs. to kill them?

What I'm saying is that Democrats seem unable to accept reality as to where the problem is.

Your claim was that the Democrats want to spend and spend, like the Greek government. Then your claim was that the problem spending was with 'entitlements,' otherwise known as 'Earned Benefits.' Ergo, the Democrats are responsible for the Earned Benefit programs.

An entitlements program is not an "earned benefits program" what did you do to earn those benefits?

Simply laying on a couch sighing woah is me, doesn't seem like trying to earn anything in my eyes.

People on disability moan woe is me on the couch? The elderly collecting social security retirement do?

Actually, I expect the people we elect to office to get off their asses, forget about politics, and save social security. Otherwise, there is going to be riots in this country that will make those in England a few months ago look tame.

Maybe you've never drawn a paycheck, but those of us that have know that there's a section on every single paystub that tells you how much you just paid into the system, and once a year the SSA sends you a summary outlining what benefits you'd receive based on how much you've paid in up to that date.

Can anyone show me evidence of the police pepper spraying tea party women for standing on a sidewalk after they've already been kettled, and who aren't doing anything to provoke the police? Of police running over legal witnesses for the Tea Party rallies, and then arresting the guy that they just ran over? Of running up behind a TeaBagger and punching him so hard that his earring is bloodily ripped out of his ear?
How about evidence of Tea Partiers scrubbing the ground and/or starting sustainable greywater, compost, and recycling programs after (or during) one of their rallies?
How about evidence that TeaBaggers aren't (ironically, given the name that they originally chose for themselves) overwhelmingly paranoid about sex?

Fraud! That is a Neo-Nazi rally, not a Tea Party Rally. The Neo-Nazis were burning bonfires long before there was a Tea Party. The Tea Party folks tend to be White, overweight and un-young and they definitely do not poop on police vehicles.

This is exactly what the "Conservatives" want you to think.

There is more than enough wealth in the country to keep all of the promises made with respect to Social Security, Medicare, "Obamacare", and much, much more.

Reagonomics was all about bankrupting the country through tax cuts to the rich, so that the "Conservatives" could say "Sorry, we're broke.
