I am saying the text is confused and all the Marys are the same one. That's what I am saying.

There's no such thing as The Virgin Mary


There are Vestal Virgins in Rome

There was Jesus's mother which hardly anything is known

There was Mary Magdeline, most likely, his wife.

Then, there was the cult of the morning/evening star, the planet Venus, which was called the Queen of Heaven. The Virgin Mary combines Vesta mythology with the worship of Venus as a star in the sky.
