Obama took the point in announcing the New Plan for purchasing so-called toxic assets and getting them off the books of the banks. He did not let Geithner appear while the stock exchanges were open.

Geithner is a disaster and must be kept hidden.

On the other hand, a 500 point rally? Apparently the Obama administration actually having a plan is even more amazing than Citigroup actually making money... :p
