She's been placed in a medically induced coma because of brain swelling. Sad.

hope she keeps her faculties.

That's very sad news. I've read about this just last night on Facebook. I hope she makes a full recovery.

it's looking bad, she was moved to a longer-term care facility. a pity.

Yeah, I heard, last night, on some entertainment news show, that her family is now "fighting" over whether to "pull the plug", on her. Bobby Brown does NOT want to pull the plug----he says he believes she will recover. I don't think the situation looks good, because I think I heard, somewhere, that if the brain is deprived of oxygen for more than 10 minutes, there will be brain damage----so, it looks like if she lives, she'll be a vegetable, maybe; and, I'm thinking it would be better to just let her go..... SOOOO sad.

Also, I heard the family was actually PHYSICALLY fighting, at the hospital, and that the police had to be called-in.....

Recent news says that there is some question as to how she came to be face-down in the water, considering that there are some unexplained bruise, and especially considering that she is sole heir to her late mother's estate ...

Tragic beyond words.

Her mother probably taught her how to come down from a speed/ecstasy filled party.

I understand that the police are already looking at a person of interest who was at the scene - a friend of hers who has had prior arrests for drug possession and domestic abuse. I wouldn't be the slightest surprised if this guy proves to have been her dealer.

IMHO it would be better for her to pass than to live in a persistent vegetative state.

Is it bad that I don't feel even a little sad about this? I didn't even know Whitney had a daughter until this happened.

But I'm sure the media will be going on for months telling me more than ever I wanted to know until I'm in deep green disgust like they always do when a celeb dies under mysterious circumstances, like Micheal Jackson or Anna Nicole Smith.

I just read this evening that her boyfriend is now under suspicion by the police.
