This is sad. Nobody wants to be in insecure work, but it seems racial/gender discrimination is suggested by the statistics mentioned in the article. Only 2.7% of working white men are on zero-hour contracts whilst 5.9% of BME women are on zero-hour contracts.

Life is hard enough without this kind of discrimination for BME women.
