Mr Andrew MacKinlay Member of Parliament, has resigned in disgust at the spinelessness of his fellow backbenchers of whom only 10 of them voted against the extradition of Aspergers hacker Gary McKinnon to America.
Most MPs put thier carreers ahead of the destruction of a young mans life, but hats off to Mr MacKinlay to whom the life of an Aspergerer ment so much.

yeah - hats off to him.
I've just looked him up and he seems to have been one of the good guys (eta apart from being pro Iraqi war and some knee-jerk votes for 'anti-terror legistration')- one of the last Labour members with principles. 8) :thumleft:

Funny that the Mail was supporting him today seeing as going by his voting record he sounds like someone who'd be there worst nightmare.

Hm. I'm not sure about this guy - he voted for a lot of the nonsense that Labour have passed in recent years. He was a bit of a dick to Kelly as well. He did take an interest in Northern Irish affairs when other parties didn't during the direct rule period though. :)
