This might shock you. I know that a lot of the members here have been harmed or mistreated by counsellors, psychothereapy and related things. I will not be naming any of the other members and discussing their cases out of respect for them.

But I have something interesting to share with you.

I hold the view that it is time that the UK regulates counselling and psychotherapy with strong laws, but some people oppose such laws. Here is a story about one such man.

I saw it in the Times Higher

http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/s ... ode=410179

It provoked a letter

I would say that it does not matter if something happened 30 years ago, it still happened.

For the original story see

By the way the Times Higher said that Prof Thorne acted as a character witness for Gale, here are the details of the case against Gale.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.
