So what do you think they've found? It wouldn't surprise me if they found living microbial organisms on Mars.

Didnt we go through this once before?

refresh my memory- didnt the seventies' mars lander appear to discover respiration going on in a soil sample and it was later disproven?

I remember that. The events surrounding it were a bit bizarre. If memory serves, two of the three tests showed positive and NASA announced the possibility of life on Mars, then one was stated to be in error then doubt cast on the other positive with NASA back-peddling and saying it was likely an unusual chemical reaction with the clay particles. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but it struck me as "odd" at the time and the thought crossed my mind that maybe the religious communities in the USA were not ready to be presented with "life on Mars" and pressure was brought to bear on NASA to play down their findings. American society may be a bit more open to the possibility of life on Mars today. This is all mere speculation though until something definite is announced - hopefully without any embarrassing or bizarre retractions.

Either life itself or evidence of life in the past.

That is rather iffy. I can see why NASA is being cautious.

Very plausible. The teamsters piloted the space ship that brought him to Mars.
