He did a documentary on Animal Planet which was given a couple of days ago. At first, I thought it was just a documentary on someone who was very passionate about it. Then when I saw a little piece of him in Houston Rockets uniform, I asked my dad if it was true. He's very into sports. He said that Ming really was a basketball star! I thought that was pretty awesome!

I also asked some people at work if they knew. It seems that many knew who he was, but did not know he was also a conservationist, and especially passtionate about saving rhinos and elephants. At least one of the girls immediately asked me where she could find this video online.

Anyone else here a fan of his and know about this?

I remember him as a basketball player and an amiable sort of person.
