7 Killed as car hits drag race crowd

People were gathered at 3:40am to watch a drag race when a car without headlights on plowed into the crowd. This was on a public road.

It is a bad thing to happen but the events are illegal. I know the people hurt wasnt driving but they are the people that the drivers are showing off to and encouraging it. It is only fair that they get darwin awards.

I believe that for them to earn a Darwin Award, they have to be the cause of their own demise. And while they made a stupid decision to watch the street racing, they weren't exactly in control of the cars.

in our state, it used to be the highest offense; 11 points on your license. I don't think they actually gave tickets, they just pulled you out and shot you (j/k...though in NC, you never know...

GAthering at 3:40am to watch speeding cars on a state road seems to me "the cause of their own demise". There were small children, grandparents. Just sick.
