10 y.o. wearing thongs, yeah!

Yeah!
the most interesting part: the mom doesn't ask her daughter what is she wearing. A mom buying her 10 y.o. daughter a thong???

This reminds me of a sad truth.
Childhood seems to have died, children are being made to grow up too quickly by people who want t make them little adults. I think that teenaged and younger girls should not be wearing sexually provocative clothing.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.
Okay back when I was a kid, there were only granny panties available in girl sizes, in my teens, I saw bikini underwear available in girl sizes, now it's thongs?
Yes I even see girl clothes that look more adult too.
So I do not see what the big deal is about thing underwear. The girl chose to wear them and what she has on under her clothes is her business and the mother's.
Back when I was in 4th 5th and 6th grade, kids in my class were in a rush to grow up. They said they were too old for toys, playing in the playground equipment and too old for jump rope and all. But yet they were bringing toys to school when we were in 5th grade. My mother told me that was normal because they don't want to grow up so they are doing that. Kids are in a rush to grow up but yet they regress in some ways. I even remember seeing these girls in 6th grade jumping in mud puddles on the playground out in the field.
For me, I never rushed to grow up. Kids were even wearing make up in sixth grade. When I was in 4th grade, I saw 5th graders wearing make up and other sixth graders. Now I think that is too young. To this day, I still don't wear make up. I don't need to be fake and cover up the real me.

great idea, let's give peadophiles a little treat this christmas
what the hell is the mother thinking allowing her girl to go around in a thong? thongs are, as the article states, meant to be sexy, why the hell would a ten year old wear a thing if she wasn't trying to become sexually active? anyonewondered if an adult has a part in this?
as for argos and their padded bras, i think they should remove themor get shut down for good. kids are kids, there should be laws against this!

Only way to know is if you pull down their pants or lift up their dress or if they have on pants that shows their underwear through the fabric.
a thong would be easily visible if the girls played 'handstand' as the article says, point is the girls want to pretend they're grown up without accepting what it means. why else would a girl wear underwear meant to make them more attractive?
if a young girl is wearing something such as a thong she'll want to express it, such as pulling her skirt down to show the bare skin to entice whoever might be looking. why give a young girl a padded bra? to make her look like she has breasts, in other words more grown up than she is, therfore at more risk from others.

Actually, some people wear what we used to call low-rider jeans back in the 70's and you can see the top of the thong - I've seen it on women in their early 20's at work in the past. I told one of them, a buddy, and she saw nothing wrong with it - it seems to be an intentional display. And yeah, a 10-year-old might well engage in some kind of play that involves being upside-down or she could fall on the ground - lets hope she isn't wearing a skirt. The mother either is a fool or is abdicating her role as parent for a role as friend IMO.

Agreed. There's a rush to grow up, but at the same time to not grow up, only in the sexual aspect of kids. Because at the same time the media is showing tits at 4pm, they are not maturing enough even if they are no longer teens, seeing how the society are dumbing them down by not putting responsibilities in them, and not allowing them to grow:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: f**k you society, f**k you.
I thought the same thing and wondered what the big deal was. I practically lived in those rubber sandals as a child.
The thong underwear? Isn't that really uncomfortable to wear? It would drive me crazy to wear uncomfortable underwear.
When I was a child back in the 50s it was fashionable to dress little girls in panties with rows of colored ruffles on the part one sits.
At the time I agreed with my mother that it looked cute but it was very uncomfortable to wear if one had to sit for any length of time.
