Sunny days are here ( not everyday ) and I hanker soooo much on getting out on Dartmoor for a nice long hike..But after a week of heavy work, and on top of that wearing the "mask" of im OK and 'normal' , Come the weekend im just sooo totally shattered, and I hate this, Really really need to get out on to the moors.

But where on earth do I summon the energy and strength to do this? Often my hikes are aprox 15miles, And normally on a Saturday I just sleep till 10 or 11am and half the day is gone.

Thing is down here in the South West of Devon there is very little support for people with AS , and the only thing I do have is my 'special' phone , which I guess I could press the red button and see what they advice..

Hmmmm? ok seems ive already talked myself into one possible solution , but my hopes are not high that the mentors will have anything earth shaking to suggest...

Maybe I should just put my head in a bucket of water? ( Marvin the Paranoid Android )

The next hike does not have to be 15 miles.
Just go for the afternoon tomorrow if you can for 5 miles.
Next week go for 7 1/2 miles, then 10 miles........

Plan for next weekend, get earlier nights in the week because you have a reason to get up on Saturday.

Shake off the Autistic inertia.
Create a short phrase to repeat to yourself to break a negative mental loop, like "Time to Change" or similar.

I can shout at you if you like.....

"GET YOUR GEAR READY FOR TOMORROW AND DON'T MESS AROUND IN THE MORNING"

Good Lord, driving 15 miles wears me out sometimes.

Glad you got out to the air and sky and hills. Great pictures, thanks for sharing! I was stuck on my indoor bile for 1 hr & 20 minutes, and these pictures of yours gave me at least a virtual hike to a superb place.
