I would not want a lifepartner who is a male-me. That wouldn't work out so good.

That's me, ruining someone's chances to become rich.
But I honestly wouldn't. Me and male-me would drive each other (and everyone else) mad.

No, really, I would have to kill him

It's been scientifically shown that people are more attracted to those who have genes most dissimilar to their own (opposites attract). I'd go into detail, but I've been going off on monologues too much today, so http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_hist ... _selection

That's some pretty heavy stuff and very interesting at the same time, thank you for sharing.

If i was with a female version of myself, i'd end up living in a field somewhere. I need someone the complete opposite of me to anchor me down somewhere in society.

A clone would not have the same personality characteristics necessarily as yourself - they would just look like you. It is possible one could be attracted to their clone - especially if they completely adore their physical appearence.

^I don't like my own appearance that way, either.

Does nobody else think this would feel like, you know, incest? For me it has a big 'ick' factor - and not just because I'm not keen on my own appearance...I'm actually way happier with it than I used to be. I just don't find guys who look like me attractive, is all. I'm a big girl who likes skinny dudes. Each to their own...

gina-ghettoprincess, thats a good point :D people also say that you dislike about others, features you recognize in yourself. i do it a lot. w another me, that experience would go on non-stop 8)

ThatRedHairedGrrl, thats the charm of cloning yourself! theres also the "big question" if you jack your clone off, would it simply be masturbation? actually, thats pretty much exactly what you said. oh yes, im the great, repeateeer, oo-oo-oo.
its a cool thought tho.
and yes, icky.
but then again

most of us
DO allready
do ourselves :D

they would also be exact copies of you, since both your dna's would be identical :D

Well, no, the clone would not be exactly identical. The Y would have to be exchanged for an X or vice versa. The clone would not be perfect either if you're not perfect. The clone would be like a sibling, unsuitable for mating, and perhaps a bit creepy.
