Would a dentist large in stature possibly be not as good?

Dentistry seems to be a profession that requires dexterity. There is a dentist I am considering going to who is very large in stature. He looks like an college football offencisve lineman. A smaller person would probably have more dexterity.

Am I thinking too much or is my opinion possibly correct?

....the assistants do most of the work, and if he's tall they'll have those adjustable chairs.
Dentistry is not a competitive sport, he either knows what he's doing or he'll totally screw up your smile for life.

My dentist has no assistant, just a secretary to answer the phone and take the appointments.
He's very tall, very kind and very experimented.

He's a good dentist, I don't fear too much to go and see him.
... Well, that is: to go and show him my teeth whenever I need to.
