I've been sorting through a comprehensive list of local restaurants trying to come up with a selection (about 50 or so) that will work for a future article I'm s'posed to be writing.
Putting together a list of every single restaurant (about 830) in the area wasn't a problem.
Deciding which ones to use for an article (that meet some very stringent criteria) has been horribly difficult.
I think it boils down to having to "cold-call" many of them to solicit menu information. Talking to complete strangers is not a strong suit of mine.
I also hate talking on the phone while someone else ( a co-worker) in in the same room- I always feel like she's listening in.
Just avoiding work and sharing why I'm avoiding it.
